It’s November 2020, and the holiday season is in full swing! Every aspect of life has been different in the midst of a pandemic, and the holidays are no exception. My husband and son and I are used to traveling every Thanksgiving for a huge 3-day-long celebration with my side of the family. Then we’re off to visit Michael’s family for Christmas in Colorado. This year, it will be just the three of us celebrating together, with virtual parties and game nights with extended family on Zoom.
Growing up, I was always involved with the holiday cooking. Sides were my specialty. As much as I love to cook, I’d never made a turkey in my life. There’s no time like the present, so I decided to jump in and take the challenge. I’m sharing my holiday recipes, including tips and observations for first time turkey roasters like myself.
